Scotching all speculations, popular hero “Prince” Mahesh Babu made it clear that he would not enter politics. He made his intentions clear while talking to reporters at Vijayawada after paying obeisance at the Kanakadurga temple.“I have no intention whatsoever to enter politics. There is no question about that,” he said. However, journalists persisted with their questions about his political plans. At this, he snapped: “Are you forcing me to say something so that you can write about it?”.
The actor said that politics was not his cup of tea and that he never took interest in it. Periodically, there have been speculations in the media that the Congress has succeeded in roping in Mahesh Babu and that he would campaign for the ruling party.
Mahesh Babu is distantly related to the state minister Galla Aruna Kumari and there were reports that she was trying hard to get him support the Congress. Mahesh Babu’s father and veteran actor Krishna is a known Congress supporter.
